about

I’m a National Geographic junkie – especially the space articles, although I actually have no interest in going into outer space.

I started collecting and listening to vinyl records when I was 15. We could only play a couple of songs at a time because my friend’s record player would start to smoke otherwise.

Finding good light, capturing honest emotion, having fun, and getting creative are the most important things to me in photography.

I’m an animal lover, and to be more specific, a cat lover. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know it’s no secret that I think my cats are rad.

In 2014 I married my best friend: a guy named Tony. We had just passed our 9th year of togetherness when we tied the knot. We’re not from Victoria, so 98% of our friends and family had to travel from a distance. We had the wedding at Goldstream Park and then camped the whole weekend with everyone. It was definitely one of the best weekends ever.

I love camping, kayaking, and exploring. When I was brainstorming points to write, Tony’s description of this one was, “someone who rather watch a bonfire than a tv”. Although I do love me some Seinfeld.

We didn’t have cable or even rabbit ears when I was growing up, so I was raised by Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, the radio, and my dad’s old tape deck.

I would like to spend a day sifting through Quentin Tarantino’s music collection.

Growing up I wanted to be a pro surfer, and my dream was to be a part of The Quiksilver Crossing. To this day, I still haven’t been surfing, but! I’m finally going this May in Tofino!
